This program will consist of a 30 minutes background presentation followed by a 1 hour panel discussion about Covid-19 disease and vaccination efforts in marginalized communities.

Upon proper completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Explain why Covid-19 presents health equity challenges
  2. Describe social determinants of health and their role in health disparities
  3. Identify potential barriers to Covid-19 vaccine administration that creates disparities 
  4. Discuss how a pharmacist can address and resolve Covid-19 vaccine disparities 
  5. Recognize factors influencing the Covid-19 experience for people representing various marginalized communities
