Get Involved in Your Professional Future

CT State Legislative Office Building - (LOB) Atrium

Hartford, CT

Review the talking points  document of important issues and bills that may have public hearings coming up.  A  reception was helf from 4:30 - 7 p.m. offering food and beverages, and many legislators and staff attended.

Issues addressed included: Opiod Abuse, Medical/Recreational Marijuana, Biologics, Reimbursement, Prescription Drug Monitoring

Make Pharmacy Day more effective! We ask you to meet with your legislator the afternoon before the reception to educate them on the issues and throughout the year. To make an appointment, please use this link to find your legislators' contact information at home and at work. Then email your legislator to ask to schedule an appointment.  Introduce yourself as a pharmacist constituent (student or pharmacist) who would like to discuss issues that impact you professionally.  If you are unsure of what to do, please contact the office so we may assist you in requesting the appointment, or inform us if you make an appointment on your own.

We encourage you to get involved in these efforts by participating in our annual Pharmacy Day at the Capitol and by contacting your representatives. To find out who represents you in CT government, visit the following sites:
